Test Criteria
The label is based on comparative product tests according to in-house methods.
Not all gentle/delicate/hand wash cycles and detergents protect textiles equally.
We evaluate the combined effect of the laundry equipment and detergent(s) on delicates:
- Test various aspects of gentleness on delicate wool and silk textiles
- Compare specific detergent with commercially available wool and silk detergents
- Compare 2-phase vs manual dosing
- Test the gentle cycle with a wool testing fabric
